The Offering (2022)

A man returns to his Hasidic Jewish roots in Brooklyn to reconcile with his estranged father, bringing his pregnant wife along in hopes of starting fresh. His father runs a funeral home, and things take a turn when an ancient, malevolent entity tied to Jewish folklore is accidentally released during the handling of a corpse. Strange events begin to unfold around the house and funeral parlor, especially affecting the young couple and their unborn child. As tensions rise, the man is forced to confront not only supernatural forces but also deep-seated guilt and generational trauma. The family must unravel the dark secrets behind the spirits origin and find a way to contain it before it consumes everything.
