Y2K (2024)

Set at the turn of the millennium, a bunch of teens are partying hard on New Year's Eve, 1999, expecting the usual chaos but nothing out of the ordinary. As midnight hits, the worst-case Y2K scenarios everyone joked about start actually happening for real. Technology everywhere malfunctions-planes fall from the sky, computers glitch out, and every bit of digital infrastructure breaks down, turning the night into a disaster movie. The group tries to stick together, but panic spreads fast and people start making bad decisions. What started as a regular party turns into a fight for survival as they dodge bizarre, over-the-top dangers and try to find their way through a world that's suddenly gone off the rails. The story keeps a mix of wild comedy and disaster movie action, following the friends as they scramble to stay alive, fix their mistakes, and figure out how to make it to morning. The whole thing is packed with late ?90s style, nostalgia, and a heavy sense of ?what if all those Y2K fears had actually been real
