The Unholy (2021)
A journalist looking for a comeback gets a lead on strange events in a small town after a deaf girl suddenly begins to hear and speak, claiming shes been visited by the Virgin Mary. As word spreads and more miracles occur, people flock to the town, treating the girl as a divine messenger. The reporter sees a career-defining story, but the deeper he digs, the more disturbing things get. Tensions rise as signs point to something sinister behind the so-called miracles. As the town is swept up in religious hysteria, the reporter races to separate fact from faith before something truly dangerous is unleashed. The story walks the line between belief and manipulation, pushing the idea that not every miracle is a blessing.
