Superdeep (2020)

A research team is sent to a secret Soviet drilling facility that has reached an extraordinary depth beneath the Earths surface. The mission is to investigate strange reports of an infection that has spread among the scientists stationed there. Upon arrival, the crew finds the base in near ruin and the surviving staff behaving unpredictably. As they descend deeper into the facility, they uncover signs that the experiment may have tapped into something ancient and biological. The air grows thicker, the walls seem to breathe, and a suffocating sense of dread takes hold as the infection reveals its horrifying nature. What starts as a scientific investigation quickly becomes a fight for survival against a spreading organism that consumes and mutates its hosts. Trapped in claustrophobic tunnels miles below the surface, the team faces an impossible choice between saving themselves or containing the threat before it reaches the surface. The film builds tension through its confined setting and mounting paranoia, turning the underground labyrinth into a nightmare where trust and reason collapse as fast as the air runs out.
