28 Days Later (2002)

After a group of animal rights activists break into a laboratory and free infected test subjects, a highly contagious rage virus spreads across Britain in a matter of weeks. The story picks up with a man waking up alone in an abandoned hospital, confused and disoriented. As he wanders through the empty streets of London, he realizes the city has fallen silent, its population either dead or transformed into violent, uncontrollable infected. He eventually meets a small band of survivors who are struggling to stay alive in a country thats collapsed into chaos. Together, they travel across a ravaged landscape in search of safety and signs of normal life, but every step forward brings new dangers-from the infected that hunt relentlessly to the desperate remnants of humanity clinging to power. As they move through the ruins, survival becomes less about escaping monsters and more about confronting what people are willing to do when society disappears. The films tone stays raw and grounded, showing both the horror and humanity that surface when the world ends almost overnight.
