The Deader the Better (2005)

Set over one long, chaotic night, the story follows Lloyd and Earl, two bickering graveyard workers who spend their shifts digging, cleaning, and trying not to strangle each other. What starts as another dull night quickly turns into something far worse when the dead begin clawing their way out of their graves. As the cemetery fills with restless corpses, the pair are forced to depend on each other just to survive. Their constant arguing turns into dark humor and desperate teamwork as they barricade themselves among headstones, crypts, and coffins, searching for a way out while trying not to become part of the undead crowd. Between the horror and absurdity, the film focuses on their uneasy friendship and the strange mix of fear, regret, and loyalty that surfaces when facing death face-to-face. The night becomes a test of wit and willpower, where staying alive means finally learning to work together before sunrise.
