Iron Lung (2026)

Iron Lung follows a lone convict sent on a desperate deep-sea mission after a cataclysm has wiped out most of humanity. Hes locked inside a tiny, rusted sub called the Iron Lung and pushed toward an off-limits ocean hidden under the surface of a dead moon. His only task is to roam the pitch-black water, take photographic readings and send findings back to the people who forced him into this job. He cant leave the cramped cabin, cant see the outside except through a grainy camera feed and relies on a set of failing instruments that keep drifting off calibration. As he creeps through the pressure-crushed depths, strange knocks hit the hull and the readouts start reacting to things that shouldnt be there. The photos he takes show shapes that dont match what the sensors report. The sub groans like its about to split apart, and the confinement starts messing with his head. He tries to keep a steady rhythm of checking gauges, adjusting the course and sending updates, but each stop brings new sounds and odd movements in the dark water around him. The mission brief becomes harder to follow as the ocean feels alive and watching him. With communication fading, metal plates bending and the camera capturing flashes of something massive nearby, he pushes forward because turning back no longer seems possible. The deeper he goes, the more the boundaries between mechanical failure, isolation and something unseen pressing against the hull begin to blur.
