Revenge (2018)

en heads to a remote desert villa for a secret weekend with her wealthy, married boyfriend Richard, expecting sun, privacy, and a bit of reckless romance. The house sits isolated against a harsh, open landscape, far from towns or help, and at first it feels like a private playground. That mood shifts fast when Richard's hunting buddies, Stan and Dimitri, show up early for their annual trip. Their arrival turns the relaxed getaway into something tense and uncomfortable. The men drink, joke, and treat the place like their own territory, while Jen finds herself increasingly sidelined and objectified. Richard brushes off her concerns, more focused on keeping his friends happy than on how exposed she feels. As the hunting trip begins, the atmosphere grows heavier. The isolation that once felt exciting now feels threatening. Conversations turn sharp, loyalties get tested, and small moments of disrespect stack up. What starts as awkward tension spirals into a shocking act that leaves Jen alone and abandoned in the unforgiving desert. From that point, the story shifts gears. Injured and stranded in brutal heat, with miles of rocky terrain stretching in every direction, Jen is forced to fight for survival. The vast desert becomes both her enemy and her only witness. She has to think fast, patch herself up, and adapt to the terrain if she wants any chance of making it out alive. Meanwhile, the men attempt to regain control of a situation that has slipped through their fingers, tracking through the landscape with rifles and rising panic. The hunt they planned for animals turns into something far more personal. As the distance between predator and prey narrows, the power dynamic keeps flipping in unexpected ways. The film follows this escalating chase across cliffs, dry riverbeds, and sun-scorched plains, building toward a final confrontation shaped by desperation, pride, and raw instinct. At its core, the plot is a stripped back survival thriller set against a merciless backdrop, where isolation amplifies every choice and every mistake carries weight.
