Poster for War Of The Worlds

War Of The Worlds (2005)

A regular dad's weekend with his kids turns upside down when massive alien machines suddenly burst out of the ground and start wiping out cities without warning. He grabs his kids and tries to get them to safety as panic spreads and the world falls apart around them. Every step is a struggle, with the family facing deadly crowds, relentless alien attacks, and the constant fear that nowhere is really safe. Along the way, they run into other desperate survivors, some helpful, some not, and have to make tough choices about who to trust and how to keep moving. The alien machines are unstoppable, destroying everything in their path and snatching people up, forcing the family to keep changing plans and never settle in one spot for long. The dad tries to hold his family together and protect them, even as the world they knew is gone. The story sticks close to their frantic journey, ramping up the tension as they search for any sign of hope or rescue, all while the threat from the invaders only gets more intense.
