Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008)

A barber returns to London after years of wrongful imprisonment, now going by the name Sweeney Todd. He finds his old shop above a failing meat pie shop run by Mrs. Lovett, who tells him that his wife was assaulted by a corrupt judge and later disappeared. Their daughter is now a ward of that same judge. Fueled by rage and grief, Todd starts offering shaves againbut instead of sending customers out the door, he kills them with a razor. Mrs. Lovett helps him cover it up by baking the victims into her pies, which suddenly become wildly popular. As Todds obsession with revenge grows, the body count rises, and everyone involved edges closer to a brutal ending. The tone stays grim and theatrical, mixing violence with dark humor and music to match the storys bleak momentum.
