Child's Play (1988)

When a young boy begs his mother for a popular talking doll, she manages to get one from a back-alley peddler, not knowing it carries the soul of a vicious killer who used a voodoo ritual to escape death. At first, the boy is thrilled with his new toy, but soon the doll begins to act strangely, whispering things and moving on its own. As unexplained deaths occur around them, the child insists that his doll is alive, though the adults dismiss it as imagination. The mother slowly begins to suspect the truth, leading to a desperate fight to protect her son once the dolls murderous nature is revealed. The tension builds as the seemingly harmless toy becomes a relentless predator, forcing those who doubted the boy to confront the terrifying reality head-on.
