The Woman In Black (2012)

A young lawyer heads to a remote village to handle the paperwork for a recently deceased client, thinking it'll be a routine assignment. When he arrives, he finds the locals closed off and clearly on edge, avoiding the eerie old house he's supposed to work in. Strange things start happening almost right away-mysterious figures in the mist, creepy noises, and unsettling visions that make him question what's real. As he digs into the house's history, he realizes there's a dark connection between the place and a string of tragedies affecting the village's children. The more he pushes for answers, the more the haunting presence in the house focuses on him, ramping up the scares and putting him directly in harm's way. The story sticks tight to his struggle to piece together the mystery while the ghostly threats get more personal and intense, all leading up to a tense confrontation that blurs the line between the living and the dead.
