A Breed Apart follows a rural veterinarian whos called to a secluded farming community after livestock start showing signs of a strange illness. At first, it looks like a rare infection, but the animals arent just sick-theyre changing. When the vet presses the farmers for answers, shes met with stonewalling and cryptic warnings. Things escalate when a nearby hiker disappears and strange tracks are found in the woods. As she investigates, it becomes clear the community is hiding something inbred into the land itself-something theyve been dealing with for generations. The deeper she gets, the more she realizes this isnt just about animals. Whatevers out there might be crossing the line between human and not, and the town may have made peace with it long ago. Getting out with the truth, or even alive, may not be in the cards.
