The Mummy (1932)

An archaeological team in Egypt stumbles across a sealed tomb and uncovers the preserved remains of Imhotep, a high priest who was punished centuries ago. When a forbidden incantation is read aloud from a sacred scroll, Imhotep stirs back to life and slips away into the modern world. Now walking among the living, he carefully conceals his true identity while using his ancient powers to set a larger plan in motion. His focus becomes finding the woman he believes carries the soul of his long-lost love, and he will stop at nothing to reclaim her. As he draws closer to his goal, the archaeologists realize what they have unleashed and scramble to prevent history from repeating itself, knowing that the fate of more than one life is at stake.
