A young couple sets out on a cross-country road trip, hoping to start fresh and leave some recent troubles behind. Their plans get derailed when their car breaks down in a remote, unfamiliar town, forcing them to stay the night at a secluded Airbnb cabin. As darkness falls, the quiet setting takes a turn for the worse when masked strangers start showing up outside, knocking on doors and windows with no explanation. What starts as creepy mind games quickly escalates to a full-on fight for survival as the intruders close in, using the darkness and isolation to terrorize the couple. With no help coming and the invaders always one step ahead, the couple is pushed to their breaking point, forced to make split-second decisions and fight back however they can. The story sticks close to their fear, confusion, and desperation, keeping the tension tight as they try to outwit a faceless threat that seems to have no motive beyond pure malice.
