Baghead (2023)

In Baghead, a young woman inherits a crumbling pub from her estranged father and travels there with a friend to sort out the estate. While exploring the building, she discovers a hidden basement where a strange, faceless entityknown only as Bagheadis being kept locked behind a heavy door. The creature has the eerie ability to channel the dead, allowing people to speak to lost loved ones, but only for two minutes and at a dangerous cost. Desperate for closure and tempted by the money others might pay for a chance to communicate with the dead, she starts making deals, ignoring the clear signs that Baghead is far from controllable. The more she uses it, the more the rules bend and the darker things get. What starts as a way to process grief quickly spirals into something much more dangerous as Bagheads power grows and its influence spreads beyond the basement. The film keeps the tension tight and personal, mixing emotional stakes with a steadily growing sense of dread.
