The Rats: A Witcher Tale (2025)

The Rats A Witcher Tale follows a rough band of six young misfit thieves trying to scrape together enough coin in a war-torn fantasy setting before they ever meet Ciri. Each member carries scars from the ongoing conflict and from personal losses, and they survive by stealing, raiding, and taking risky jobs just to get by. When they catch wind of a huge stash of wealth held at a brutal fighting arena run by a ruthless organiser, they decide to plan their biggest theft yet. To pull off this score they recruit a washed-up Witcher whos lost his edge, and together the group works out roles and tactics to get inside the arena and access the treasure. Things dont go smoothly traps, monsters, hidden dangers and unexpected betrayals force them to improvise and fight for their lives, and some end up making hard choices to protect the others. Along the way they form tighter bonds and reveal more about who they are and why they stick together. Their attempt to claim the loot tests their trust and skill as thieves and fighters, and ultimately sets the stage for the events that bring them into contact with bigger figures in the larger saga.
