V/H/S/ Beyond (2024)
V/H/S/ Beyond sticks to the found-footage horror anthology setup, this time framed around a shady research facility where mysterious video cassettes are being analyzed. Each tape plays out as its own standalone horror short, with the lab workers growing increasingly disturbed by what they're watching. The stories range from a high-speed desert chase with cult overtones, to a bizarre sci-fi rescue mission, to a twisted game show that turns deadly. The wraparound slowly reveals theres something off about the entire facility and its purpose, tying all the shorts together with an uneasy thread. Each segment leans into different horror styles-body horror, creature feature, supernatural paranoia-keeping things unpredictable. As always with the V/H/S/ series, the chaos escalates with each tape until the line between viewer and subject starts to blur.
