Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies (1999)

Wishmaster 2 Evil Never Dies follows the return of the ancient Djinn, a demonic being who twists wishes into horrifying curses to free his race from their prison. After being accidentally released during a botched robbery, the Djinn takes human form and deliberately gets himself locked inside a prison, seeing it as the perfect place to collect souls. Among desperate inmates and corrupt officials, he offers to grant wishes that inevitably backfire, feeding his power while spreading chaos behind bars. Meanwhile, a woman tied to the robbery becomes the key to stopping him, as her earlier contact with the Djinn left her bound to his plan. As he grows stronger and inches closer to unleashing his fellow Djinn upon the world, the line between temptation and survival blurs for those around him. The story mixes supernatural horror with darkly ironic twists, showing how greed, desperation, and selfish desires play directly into the Djinns hands. Tension builds toward a confrontation where the heroine must face the choice between sacrificing herself or finding a way to turn the Djinns own rules against him before his reign of terror can spill into the outside world.
