Charles Blakey, struggling to keep afloat and desperate for cash, agrees to rent out his basement to a quiet but enigmatic stranger. At first, the arrangement seems harmless, but as the days pass, Charles begins to sense something is deeply wrong. The strangers presence casts a shadow over the house, and unsettling events start to creep into Charless life.
